In an engagement this week with a client from the United Nations, the client wanted to work on how to inspire others. When asked what inspiration meant to her, she replied, “the ability to move the heart to action.” Upon further questioning about the kind of leaders who inspired her, she replied, “those who work beyond duty; take action based on principles; are knowledgeable in their subject area and those who lead initiatives that have a meaningful and lasting impact on the world.” With her insights she developed a clear action plan of what steps she would take to inspire others. I certainly walked away from our engagement more inspired. What inspires you?
